Our mission is to bring mothers together in community, defining the village of nurturing women that every modern mother needs to thrive.

As a mother, having a village is essential amidst the chaos of modern motherhood. But the village looks different in the modern times we live in and Mothering Together strives to help mothers define the village that nurtures them in the way that they need.

In 2022 Sara’s best friend from college, Christine, unexpectedly died at the age of 36. Christine will always be a key figure in Sara’s village. Mothering Together is in honor of Sara and Christine’s sisterhood and the impact Christine had on Sara’s understanding of what it feels like to have community.

Sara Capule is Bay Area born and raised and is making it her mission to help her local community thrive. Before becoming a mom, Sara was a high school Theatre Arts, English, and AVID teacher.

In 2020, the combination of the pandemic and being pregnant with her second child effectively ended Sara’s teaching career. In hindsight, she was actually taking a Power Pause as coined by Neha Ruch, the creator of Mother Untitled

Motherhood has transformed Sara in ways she never could have imagined and surprisingly not in the ways that society told her it would. Just as Sara used her skills as a teacher to help each individual student learn in a way that worked for them, she implements those skills alongside her transformative motherhood experience to empower modern mothers through Mothering Together events.

Sara is currently training as a Matrescence Facilitator through the ICF Certified Mama Rising Program and is a proud alum of The Nurtured Mama cohort led by Maggie Viers and Ann Odom.
